G2 Evo is the ultra thermal double boot for extreme mountaineering and prolonged use at low temperatures. G2 Evo belongs to the La Sportiva high mountain line and is the ideal product for mountaineering use at heights ranging between 6000 and 7000 meters .It provides maximum water repellency thanks to the internal thermo-taping and the innovative UltraSonic Welding technology which allows the materials to be joined together without the need for stitiching, the external anti-drag materials and to the internal insulating package of the shell.
The use of Cordura® guarantees resistance to abrasion. The bootie uses quick-drying materials to allow prolonged use in the mountains. Volumes and weight are extremely contained thanks to the Honeycomb Tech carbon fiber midsole and the compact, high-performance construction in traditional La Sportiva style. The inner shell adopts the BOA® Fit System quick-closing system in a double configuration that guarantees a fast, easy and precise fit and differentiated shell tension between the upper and lower part.
The BOA® Fit System placed outside the gaiter allows the closure to be adjusted without having to open the zipper of the external gaiter, ensuring the maintenance of the internal temperature and the possibility of acting on the closure system without removing gloves.
EU and US Sizing
More sizes means a better fit! Most mountaineering footwear is built on European half sizes which are smaller increments than US half sizes. This gives us five extra sizes per size run, which gives you a better fit!

How Guide Pick™ Works
The guides over at RMI collectively spend over 10,000+ days a year on the world's highest mountains, climbing hundreds of thousands of vertical feet. They put their gear and apparel through the wringer. This stuff is their work wear and they simply will not tolerate inferior gear.
At the end of the climbing season, guides are given a survey to find out what gear they are using and why it is their favorite. We don’t often get complete agreement but we do get alignment and by looking at the data, a few clear winners rise to the top in each category.
We take those winners, and stamp them with the Guide Pick™ logo on our site. We also compile this wonderful little document, which you can use to see top contenders, gear advice, Guide Quotes, and more.
