All orders are shipped via UPS or USPS, unless otherwise directed by the customer. Alaska, Canada and all other international shipments are shipped using the United States Postal Service.

Purchases shipped out of Washington state will not be charged sales tax on items. This applies only to purchases made via phone, fax or email and does not include equipment being rented.
Returns and Exchanges
Food, gift cards, undergarments or load-bearing climbing equipment (including products such as ropes, harnesses and carabiners) are not eligible for return.
For all eligible items, we will gladly accept the return of new items (all tags included, unused, original packaging, unwashed, boot liners un-molded) within 90 days of the original shipment date of product for a full refund.
We also accept returns for store credit on items that were purchased new, but have been used within 90 days of the original shipment date. We will not accept the return of products damaged due to negligence, accidents or abuse.
Exchanges are welcome within 90 days.
Simply contact us for a Return Services shipping label and we will send one over to you via email. Upon return of the item, we will process the refund or store credit less $15.00 for the shipping label provided. This offer only applies to customers in the contiguous United States. You are welcome to ship returns or exchanges back to us with your own shipping label. We will process the return within a couple days of receiving the package. Please allow approximately 5-10 business days for funds to appear back on your account.
Used Gear returns
All used items are sold AS IS and are not eligible for Normal returns or exchanges. If you receive an item and believe it has been mis-categorized by tier, you have one week to email us. Price Match Policy
We are happy to price match for you as long as you find the identical product (size, color, season, style) on another site and both the competitor and we have the product in stock at the time of the order. We also need the website link to locate the product on the competitor’s site to confirm that it is the same product. We are unable to discount the product below 40% of its retail price and our policy does not allow for prices listed on auction sites such as eBay. The price match cannot be combined with another current promotion. Finally, the competitor must be located in the United States.
If a product you have purchased goes on sale within 7 days of your purchase, we are happy to offer you store credit for the difference.
If you purchase a Bight Gear item shortly before a promotion or sale, we will refund the difference of the sale price providing:
1) the item, color and size purchased is still in stock.
2) the purchase took place from Whittaker Mountaineering within the past 7 days.

Available from $25 to $1000, gift certificates are great for those who are planning on climbing a mountain around the world and are so darn tough to shop for. They can be sent directly to the recipient and also can be used by phone. Give us a call at 800-238-5756.
We try to get all orders sent out the day they were ordered. However, there are instances where we are waiting for products from vendors and products are not available. We will notify you if there is a delay anticipated in shipment.

Rental policies for rentals that are shipped
Whittaker Mountaineering has a 7 day cancellation policy. Items that are no longer needed or wanted for your trip can be cancelled 7 Days prior to your orientation/trip start date. Gear is usually shipped from our office 2-3 weeks prior to the orientation date provided. This allows enough time for you to familiarize yourself with the gear and to make sure everything fits properly. For any changes that may occur, you can contact the Rental Office via e-mail at Rentals@Whittakermountaineering.com or by phone at 800-238-5756 at least 7 days prior to you orientation date. Any shipping orders placed within 7 days of the orientation/start date are non-refundable and are also subject to additional shipping costs.
Meal Package Policies
Orders must be placed at least 24 hours before your trip. Whittaker Mountaineering has a 24 hour cancellation policy on all meal packages and we offer a refund for meal packages that are cancelled prior to 24 hours prior to your trip.
