Consistently the Best

Every year we ask RMI Expeditions' guides which gaiters they recommend for mountaineering, and since they came on the market years ago, the Expedition Crocodile Gaiters have always come out on top.

Like Crocs with even thicker skin, these burly gaiters are designed to function on extended mountaineering trips, in cold weather and in extreme conditions. The large circumference provides more room for plastic mountaineering boots and heavily insulated pants, and the inside leg of each gaiter is made of durable Cordura® fabric to prevent crampon snagging and puncturing when you're high in the mountains.

The Expedition Crocodile Gaiters will keep feet dry and comfortable in any weather and terrain. Designed like our award-winning "Crocs" but featuring thicker materials, our burliest gaiters are designed for extended mountaineering trips in extreme conditions. The three-layer construction features a GORE-TEX® membrane for waterproof protection, a Cordura® shell for crampon abrasion resistance, and a 420D packcloth lining for breathability. The double-stitched hook-and-loop front closure provides a secure fit, while the BioThane instep strap ensures a comfortable, customized fit. The large circumference is roomy enough for plastic boots and heavily insulated pants, providing complete coverage. For venturing deep into the mountains in harsh weather and extreme conditions, the Expedition Crocodile Gaiters are a must-have mountaineering accessory.

Next climb!

I haven't used these yet. I'm hoping to on the Emmon's route next year! I have another pair of OR Research but they are the bottom end and these are the step up. I have used lots of OR gear and its great stuff!

Gaiters

I have worn these gaiters a couple times for cross country skiing, and they worked well. The gaiters stayed snug to my legs and did not slide down over 3-4 hours of skiing. Good price point. I would buy again.
