30L I find to be the best all round size to use for cragging and trad multipitch. I can fit layers, rack, harness, shoes, helmet and chalk bag all neatly into main compartment. The taper of the bag being wider at the top makes it easy to overstuff in the winter also. The rope and ice tool carrying provisions are also well designed so I can take this ice and alpine climbing too. It’s my go to bag for everything.
