First of all I bought a guy’s size small so I could get orange to match my Jeep. :-) Also baby blue is so boring and doesn’t photograph as well as orange for social media. I didn’t realize until after I got it that the overall length and the sleeves are quite a bit longer than the gal’s version, but that’s okay. I think the length will really come in handy later when I’m wearing a harness on some alpine climbs. So far I’ve worn it a few times for training up Poo Poo Point on Tiger Mountain, for slower group hikes, a coupe of times snowshoeing, and also on skis for my AIARE 1 course field trip. The jacket has worker really well. The material does breathe even without pit zips. I really like the size of the chest pocket because my BC Decision Guide fits in there real nicely. I recommend the coat and the color but not the men’s dimensions for most women.

Really nicely designed soft shell jacket with great breathability
The NeoShell Nuker soft shell jacket (M -- I'm 5'8, 158lb, 42" chest) is a real joy to use -- as are the Nuker pants. I love the breathability, light weight, fit, feel, and the look and simplicity of the design. I've had no problem staying dry with a base layer and midweight layer under this jacket while skinning up Hood at a good clip. The length is great and covers my backside perfectly. The freedom of movement is great, despite a relatively slim fit. The sleeve length is prefect, and cuff closures are good. The hood works very well with my helmet. The drawstring on the hem is nice. All-in-all, this is a great soft shell jacket and a joy to use.

Breathable
Skiied all day in this jacket and the Nuker pants. The breathability is great. They both performed flawlessly. The zipper was a bit rough to use at first, but a touch of zipper wax fixed that. Not sure why zippers don't always come waxed from the factory.

Bight Gear Nuker Jacket
We used the jackets on our recent trip to climb Mt Aconcagua for 17 days. The jacket provided excellent wind protection and kept the warmth in for belaying. The fit, style and colors were excellent to wear. We didnt encounter any precipitation and hence cant comment on that. But, the biggest disappointment was with the usability regarding zippers. I carried several other jackets patagonia, RAB etc on my trip. None of those jackets had any issues with zippers. It was smooth and easy to use. Nuker jacket got me frustrated several times due to the incredibly rough and hard zippers. IT was much much much harder to zip up/down the jacket , pockets etc. It defeated the idea of using a performance jacket that can be zipped in and out for temperature control etc. It failed me several times that i discarded it and used something else to wear on for a decent part of my climb. I had to remove my gloves several times to carefully make the zippers work. I could use my mitten gloves to zip up my other jackets. I plan to return the jackets and would like to understand how your thorough design process did not catch this.

Brilliant piece!
Excellent, brilliant, fantastic - love this rain shell. It breathes whilst providing excellent water and wind proofing. The color is amazing and the longer tail keeps my butt dry!
