Used this Hoody during a recent trip to Summit Kilimanjaro. Worked great as a base layer during Summit Night, and was also light enough to be used on other days for sun protection. The hood was very handy for keeping the sun off my neck and head.
I bought my first Solstice a few years ago, and despite wearing it probably close to once a week for anything and everything, it still looks brand new today. Well, other than a couple small holes that I accidentally put in it (and those holes haven't grown at all over time). I love the versatility of this shirt, light enough to keep me safe from the sun on hot summer days and also a great layer in the winter months. Finally got a second one, this 2023 version. Still a great fit and feel. Maybe I'm crazy, but my one observation is that to me it feels like the 2023 is maybe a touch warmer in nature than my older one. On those hot summer days I feel ever so slightly toastier. Not aggressively so, but enough that if available I'll grab my older one if I'm heading out for a summer day on trail or an extensive day of yard work.
